DEPARTURES

- Helicopters will request the LEVANTE or SUR corridor from TWR, and following instructions will ascend to 500 ft MSL, notifying vertical point ROMEO or MIKE.

- They will notify TWR on leaving its control area.

COMMUNICATIONS FAILURE

- Aircraft on VFR approach to Rota N.B. with communications failure, will squawk code SSR 7600 in mode 3/A. They shall maintain VFR conditions and proceed at 1000 ft from the point SOUTH (Cádiz) to the communications failure circuit, keeping to the South-west of Rota Naval Base tower.

- Once in the circuit at 1000 ft, aircraft shall await mortar signals from Rota TWR to proceed to the visual circuit and landing. Once on the ground they will follow the “FOLLOW ME” vehicle which will guide them to their stand.

SCHEDULE

- Aprons, Aeronautical Information Service and Runways Service: Monday to Friday 0730-1600 and until the end of programmed flights.

- Other times: PPR during the service schedule, or prior notification to TWR two hours in advance.

REMARKS

- PAPI (MEHT) RWY 10: 3º (50 ft). RWY 28: 2.75º (120 ft).

- Under no circumstances shall the Final Approach Areas of RWY 10/28 be crossed without TWR clearance.

- The helicopter arrival and departure corridors will be restricted for the exclusive use of Spanish and third country helicopters.
