BARCELONA/Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat AD (LEBL).- Temporary closure of TWY S2.
Until 27 November 2025 (estimated), there may be closures of TWY S2 for operational needs.
Together with the closing of TWY S2, the ILS DME associated with RWY 24R will become unserviceable, leaving the DME BCN and PRA serviceable.
The area closed to traffic will be adequately marked, signposted and lit.
Aircraft shall follow ATC taxiing instructions at all times.
The effective dates of closure of TWY S2, and deactivation of DME ILS RWY 24R, will be notified via NOTAM.
Operational impacts:
When TWY S2 is closed, DME ILS RWY 24R will be unserviceable and therefore procedures IAC 26 ILS Z RWY 24R, IAC 27 ILS Y RWY 24R and IAC 28 LOC RWY 24R will be usable with the following restriction:
References to the DME ILS are not usable..
