MADRID/Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas AD (LEMD).- Demolition of regulator chambers – Ramp 0.
Until 10 July 2026 (estimated), works to demolish the regulator chamber on the remote apron Ramp 0 and the resurfacing of the apron until TWY M11 will be performed in the airfield at Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport.
The works will be carried out in three phases. The start and end dates of the phases, as well as any operational incidents that may arise, will be announced via NOTAM.
The works will be carried out 24H.
The works will not be carried out when LVP are in force.
The taxiing routes shall match the standard ones as closely as possible. In case of any deviations, ATC and/or SDP instructions shall be followed.
The works shall be duly marked with night-time and daytime lighting.
Caution is recommended due to the presence of personnel and machinery. Taxiing must be accomplished at minimum power on diversions to prevent the impact of jet efflux in zones where personnel are working.
PHASE 1
Description of the phase: Works at 40 metres from TWY M11 to demolish the chamber CR 14R BIS and building new access to the gallery.
Operational impacts:
TWY M11 limited to maximum code letter E aircraft.
Aircraft taxiing on TWY M11 must do so at low speeds and exercise extreme caution, due to their proximity to the work zone.
Phase 1 Work zones
PHASE 2A
Description of the phase: Demolition works and resurfacing between TWY M11 and the apron Ramp 0.
Operational impacts:
Rapid exit TWY L5: closed
TWY M11, section between TWY AM2 and GATE 5: closed, (M11 only usable for access to PRKG 20 and 21)
GATE 5 limited to maximumcode letter C aircraft.
TWY A11, G5 and G6 bi-directional use.
PRKG22 to 26: closed.
Phase 2A. Work zones
PHASE 2B
Description of the phase: Lighting works at GATE 5 and at crossing M10-G5-M11-GATE 5. To be activated within the activation period of Phase 2A, coinciding with it.
Operational restrictions in addition to those of Phase 2A:
TWY GATE 5: closed (24H).
Crossing TWY M10-G5-M11-GATE 5: closed only occasionally at night time from 23:00 to 07:00 LT;
Phase 2B. Work zones.
PHASE 3A
Description of the phase: Demolition works and resurfacing between M11 and the apron Ramp 0.
Operational restrictions:
Rapid exit TWY L5: section between RWY and TWY A11 closed.
TWY M11, section between PRKG 26 and GATE 5: closed.
GATE 5 limited to maximum c ode letter C aircraft.
TWY A11, G5 and section of TWY L5 between M11 and A11: bi-directional use.
PRKG 26: closed.
