BILBAO AD (LEBB).- Remodelling of markings apron.

Until 04 September 2026 (estimated), construction works for there modelling of the remote stands on the South apron of Bilbao airport will be underway.

The work areas will be duly marked and lit. Caution is recommended due to the presence of personnel and machinery.

No works will be performed when low visibility procedures are active.

Works that affect the manoeuvring area will be carried out in 2 phases.

The start and end dates, as well as any operational incidents that may arise, will be announced by the corresponding NOTAM.

All phases will be carried out during the airport´s operational hours.

The phases have to be executed in the given order.

PHASE 1. Remodelling of the stands on the South apron, West zone.

The works will consist of removing PRKG 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 89, H1, H2 and H3 from the South apron and eliminating the markings. New PRKG G11, G12, G12A, G13, G14, G14A, HG12, HG13 and HG14 will be created by painting the markings, adjusting the aiming of mega towers floodlights, and modifying the East apron separation fencing.

Operational Restrictions

– Closure of PRKG 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 89, H1, H2 and H3 of the South apron.

PRKG G11, G12, G12A, G13, G14, G14A, HG12, HG13 and HG14 will be commissioned at the end of this phase.

PHASE 1

PHASE 2. Remodelling of the stands on the South apron,East zone.

The works will consist of removing PRKG G1, G2, G3, G4, G5, G6, G10, G11, G12, G13, G14, G15, G16, G17 and G18 from the South apron, as well as the service road, eliminating the markings, and paving of the new stands to the east of the apron.

New PRKG G1, G2, G3, G4, G5, G6, G7, G8, G9, G10 and G10A will be created by painting the markings, installing new floodlights and adjusting the aiming of mega tower floodlights.

A new TWY providing access to the stands with electrical circuit conduits, centre line lights and intermediate holding positions, retroreflective edge markers, markings and signage will be built.

The designation of the inner TWY on the South apron will be changed to DA and that of TWY S-1 to DC. The new TWY will be designated as DB.

Operational Restrictions

– Closure of PRKG G1, G2, G3, G4, G5, G6, G10, G11, G12, G13, G14, G15, G16, G17 and G18 of the South apron.

TWY DA, DB and DC will be commissioned at the end of this phase. PRKG G1, G2, G3, G4, G5, G6, G7, G8, G9, G10 and G10A will be commissioned at the end of this phase.
