MADRID/Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas AD (LEMD).- Resurfacing on Taxiways B3, B4, Z3, BN1, N4 and N5.

Until 04 September 2026 (estimated) resurfacing works will take place on Taxiways B3, B4, Z3, BN1, N4 y N5. Upon completion of the works, no changes will be made to the infrastructure.

The works will be carried out in 3 phases. The start and end dates, as well as any operational incidents that may arise, will be announced via NOTAM.

The works shall be duly marked and lit by day and by night, and will be closed to traffic continuously H24.

Standard taxiing routes could be affected, therefore ATC/SDP instructions must be followed in zones near the Work

Caution is recommended due to the presence of personnel and machinery. Taxiing must be accomplished at minimum power on diversions to prevent the impact of jet efflux in zones where personnel are working.

PHASE 1: WORKS ON TWY B3-B4

Schedule: Continuous (24H)

Operational restrictions:

TWY B3, B4, Z3 and BN1: closed
TWY N3, N4, G11, GATE12, AM3 and A27 to A31: bi-directional use
TWY N3 and N4: these will be considered parking stand access roads and taxiing should be at low speeds (recommended speed 10kt), with caution due to the presence of personnel and machinery.
Turn from TWY G12 to TWY B5: not permitted for code letter E and F aircraft.
Turn from TWY N4 to GATE 12: not permitted for code letter E aircraft.
TWY N4-GATE12 and TWY G11-N3 curves: Provisional bi-directional lights will be installed.
In the North Configuration, code letter F aircraft in DEPARTURE from T123 to RWY 36R: they will taxi on TWY N until B9 and, in night-time conditions or LVC, they will be guided by follow-me vehicles in the turn from TWY BN3 to B9.
PRKG 500 and 501: closed.

PHASE 2: WORKS ON TWY N3-N4

Schedule: Continuous (24H)

Operational restrictions:

TWY N3, N4, BN1 and Z3: closed
TWY B3 and B4: limited to maximum code letter E aircraft.
TWY AM3, from A27 to A31, N12, N13, EA7, from EC1 to EC8 and from EB1 to EB8: bi-directional taxiing.
Turn from TWY B3 to TWY Z1: provisional TCL will be available. This turn will be limited to maximum code letter D aircraft and not permitted in night-time conditions or LVC.
Turns from TWY G12 to TWY B5 and from GATE12 to TWY N5 not permitted for code letter E aircraft.
PRKG 500 and 501 closed.

PHASE 3: WORKS ON TWY N4-N5

Schedule: Continuous (24H)

Operational restrictions:

TWY N4, N5, G12 and GATE12: closed
TWY BN1: limited to maximum code letter E aircraft.
Section of TWY EA5 opposite PRKG 500 until 504: limited to maximum code letter E aircraft.
TWY AM3, from A27 to A31, N12, N13 and EA7: Bi-directional taxiing.
TWY B4 and B5: these will be considered parking stand access roads and taxiing should be at low speeds (recommended speed 10kt), with caution due to the presence of personnel and machinery.
Turn from TWY B4 to TWY Z3: not permitted for code letter E and F aircraft.

TWY EA5-GATE13-N6 curves: provisional bi-directional lights will be installed.
PRKG 500 to 504: closed
PRKG 507 limited to maximum code letter E aircraft.
