Until 30 October 2026 (estimated), works will be carried out in the airfield at Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport to increase the number of aircraft parking positions on the remote apron Ramp 0.
The works will be carried out in two phases.
The start and end dates of the phases, as well as any operational incidents that may arise, will be announced via NOTAM.
The works will be carried out H24.
The taxiing routes shall match the standard ones as closely as possible. In case of any deviations, ATC and/or SDP instructions shall be followed.
The works will not performed whenever LVP are active.
The works will be duly marked and lit.
Caution is recommended due to the presence of personnel and machinery. Taxiing must be accomplished at minimum power on diversions to prevent the impact of jet efflux in zones where personnel are working.
Description of the phase: works on GATE 5 and the TWY M10-G5-M11-GATE 5 crossing.
Schedule: the works will be carried out H24 (at GATE 5) and at night-time (at the crossing of TWY M10 with G5).
Operational impacts:
rapid exit TWY L5 - section between runway and TWY A11 - closed;
TWY M11 - section between PRKG 26 and GATE 5 - closed;
TWY GATE 5 closed;
TWY M10-G5-M11-GATE 5 crossing, occasionally closed from 23:00 to 07:00 LT;
PRKG 26 closed.
Description of the phase: construction of three new parking stands.
Schedule: the works will be carried out H24.
Operational impacts: no operational impact.
At the end of Phase 2, the new PRKG 27, 28 and 29 will be commissioned, in accordance with the following characteristics:

The standard taxiing routes will be modified as follows:
A) ENTRY
From RWY 32L to T-123:
Ramp 0 PRKG 20 to 29:
TWY L7 or L3, TWY A up to A11, G5, M11 and entry to the parking stand.
TWY L5, M11 and entry to the parking stand.
B) EXIT
TO RWY 36L from T-123:
Ramp 0: PRKG 20 to 29: TWY I11, GATE 6 (transfer point), TWY M12, …, M17, R5 or R6 or R7, R8, Z2.
A) ENTRY
From RWY 18R to T-123:
Ramp 0: PRKG 20 to 29: Standard route, direct to parking stand.
B) EXIT
TO RWY 14R from T-123:
Ramp 0: PRKG 20 to 29: TWY I11, GATE 6 (transfer point), TWY G6, A12, standard route.
Section B of Point 2 - Ground Movement - in Item 20 shall read as follows:
B.-Barajas Ground Movement Control (GMC) is responsible for:
Monitoring all aircraft, personnel and vehicle movements on the manoeuvring area except for the runway or runways in use.
Issuing clearances for towed push-back and taxiing instructions to aircraft at PRKG 7 to 9 on Apron T-123.
Notifying aircraft of the stands assigned by the Airport Management Centre (CGA) at PRKG 20 to 29 of Apron T-123.
