REUS AD (LERS).- Works to adapt the lighting systems to the new technologies and regulations.

Until 20 of March 2026 (estimated), works will be carried out to adapt the lighting systems to the new technologies and regulations.

The actions will be carried out in three phases, affecting the airfield areas that are listed in this document.

The phases may not necessarily be executed in the order defined, and several phases may be activated simultaneously.

The start and end dates, as well as any operational incidents that may arise, will be announced via the corresponding NOTAM.

Works zone will be duly marked with night lighting.

The works will be carried out outside operational hours, and the areas will be completely cleared prior to the daily reopening of the airport.

Caution is recommended in the areas close to the works due to the

presence of workers and machinery which may, in exceptional cases, generate FODs in the manoeuvring area.

In the event of an evacuation, workers and machinery will be withdrawn to a safe area.

In the event of adverse weather or if the Movement Area Operational Standstill Procedures are active, the works will be cancelled.

The phases of the works and the actions to be carried out, together with their operational impact, are described below.

FASE 1: Runway guard lights

Subphase 1.1

New manholes and recesses will be built for the lighting circuits involved in the works.

Subphase 1.2:

Runway Guard Lighting (A1, A2, B, C, DR, DL) out of service.

Schedule:

Outside Operational Hours.

Subphase 1.3:

Runway Edge, Threshold and End Guard Lighting AND runway guard lighting out of service (RFFS Roadway).

Schedule:

Outside Operational Hours.

PHASE 2: Replacement of right wing PAPI RWY 07 and 25

Subphase 2.1:

Right wing PAPI RWY 07 and 25 out of service.

Schedule:

For the duration of the sub-phase.

Subphase 2.2:

Calibration Flight - Right Wing PAPI RWY 07 and 25 false indications.

Schedule:

Operational hours.

PHASE 3: Replacement of left wing PAPI RWY 07 and 25

Subphase 3.1:

Left wing PAPI RWY 25 and 07 out of service.

Out of service schedule:

For the duration of the sub-phase

Subphase 3.2:

Calibration Flight - Left Wing PAPI RWY 25 and 07 false indications
