AIS-ESPAÑA.- FLOTEX-26 exercise.
1.- GENENERAL ASPEPECT.
The “FLOTEX-26” exercise shall be conducted in the waters of the Gulf of Cádiz, the Strait of Gibraltar and the Alborán Sea close to Spanish territory, as well as in various exercise ranges and military facilities in the south of the Iberian Peninsula, between 11th and 22nd May 2026. The aforesaid exercise shall be conducted in the FIR/UIR of Madrid, and will affect the areas and air corridors mentioned below.
The daily schedule shall be published via NOTAM 30 days prior to the start of the activities.
The affected areas will be activated and deactivated in tactical coordination via the airspace control elements involved in order to minimice the impact on commercial aviation or other operations/exercises as much as possible. All times shall be in UTC.
These areas shall be treated as TRA, with the exception, where applicable, of areas for RPAS (Remotely Piloted Aircraft System) flights and shooting activities, which shall be treated as TSA.
