ZARAGOZA AD (LEZG).- Continuation of works for drainage compliance in the movement area.

Until 01 October 2027 (estimated), works shall be conducted to improve the airfield’s drainage pipelines.

The start, end and activation dates of the different stages of these works, as well as any operational incidents that may arise, will be announced via NOTAM.

All work areas shall be duly marked and lit. Caution is recommended due to the presence of workers and machinery and earthworks.

Scope of the works: Ensuring sufficient drainage in the civil aviation apron, by building new drain collectors under the apron.

The works will be performed in the areas highlighted in the map:

PHASE 0: ASSEMBLING THE CONSTRUCTION SITE

Works to assemble the construction site.

Schedule: This phase shall be executed during the airport’s operational hours.

Operational restrictions: No operational impact.

PHASE 1: WORKS ON THE EASTERN AREA OF THE APRON

SUB-PHASE 1.1: EXCAVATION OF RETENTION BASIN 2 AND CONSTRUCTION OF COLLECTOR D

Works for the new pipeline of the Collector D which will run along the south-west of the General Aviation Apron. At the same time, Retention Basin 2 will be excavated behind the hangar apron, next to the fencing.

Schedule: This phase shall be executed during the airport’s operational hours.

Operational restrictions: No operational impact.

SUB-PHASE 1.2: MODIFICATION TO THE WATER SUPPLY AND HYDRANT NETWORK, AND LAYING OF NEW PAVEMENT

Works to modify the water supply and hydrant network, as well as laying new pavement and painting on the affected section of the pedestrian road.

Schedule: This phase shall be executed during the airport’s operational hours.

Operational restrictions: Impact on vehicle traffic on the service road next to the General Aviation Apron.

PHASE 2: COMPLETION OF COLLECTOR C

Works to complete the collector and gutter section in front of the former baggage handling area next to the apron.

Schedule: This phase shall be executed during the airport’s operational hours.

Operational restrictions: Service road diverted.

PHASE 3: WORKS ON COLLECTOR B

SUB-PHASE 3.1: MODIFICATION TO THE CENTRELINE OF THE INNER APRON TAXIWAY AND CONSTRUCTION OF COLLECTOR B, PRKG 8

Continuation of the construction of Collector B, in the vicinity of PRKG 8, and temporary diversion of the centreline of the inner apron taxiway between PRKG 5-7 and 8-9.

Schedule: This phase shall be executed during the airport’s operational hours.

Operational restrictions:

• Diversion of the inner apron taxiway centreline, between PRKG 5-7 and PRKG 8-9.

• Closure of PRKG 8.

SUB-PHASE 3.2: COMPLETION OF WORKS ON COLLECTOR B, PRKG 9 AND RESTORATION OF THE CENTRELINE OF THE INNER APRON TAXIWAY

Completion of the construction of Collector B, in the vicinity of Stand 9, and restoration of the centreline of the inner apron taxiway to its original position.

Schedule: This phase shall be executed during the airport’s operational hours.

Operational restrictions:

• Restoration of the inner apron taxiway centreline to its original position.

• Closure of PRKG 9.

SUB-PHASE 3.3: WORKS TO REPAIR COLLECTOR B, PRKG 5

Works to repair Collector B in the vicinity of PRKG 5.

Schedule: This phase shall be executed during the airport’s operational hours.

Operational restrictions: Closure of PRKG 5.

PHASE 4: PAVEMENT REINSTATEMENT AND REPAIR

SUB-PHASE 4.1: TEMPORARY RESURFACING ON COLLECTOR C AND COLLECTOR B. DIVERSION OF THE HYDRANT NETWORK.

Works to resurface paving on Collector C and Collector B. The works to divert the hydrant network will also be carried out during this phase.

Schedule: This phase shall be executed during the airport’s operational hours.

Operational restrictions:

• In order to resurface the paving on Collector C and to carry out the works to divert the hydrant network the service road must also be diverted.

• PRKG 23 must be closed while the resurfacing work on Collector B is underway.

SUB-PHASE 4.2: TEMPORARY RESURFACING ON COLLECTOR S AND COLLECTOR B. DIVERSION OF THE HYDRANT NETWORK.

Works to resurface Collector B and works to resurface Collector S.

Schedule: This phase shall be executed during the airport’s operational hours.

Operational restrictions:

• In order to resurface the paving on Collector B, PRKG 1, H1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 6A, 7 y 7A must be closed.

• The resurfacing of the paving on Collector S will affect vehicle traffic on the service road in the hangar apron area.

SUB-PHASE 4.3: INSTALLING OF GUTTER JOINTS ON COLLECTORS B AND C. REPAIRS TO THE EDGES OF APRON SLABS ALONG COLLECTOR B

Works to install a longitudinal joint in the gutters of Collectors B and C. Repairs to the edges of the slabs along Collector B will also be performed.

Schedule: This phase shall be executed during the airport’s operational hours.

Operational restrictions:

• The works to install the longitudinal joint and repairing the edges of the slabs along Collector B will be carried out within sight of traffic.

• The service road will be diverted for the installation of the longitudinal joint in the gutters.

PHASE 5: COMPLETION OF COLLECTORS E AND S

The works on Collector E involve laying the pipelines of the ditches on the General Aviation Apron, including the construction of a manhole and the perimeter ditch on the islet.

The works on Collector S involve replacing the connection adjacent to the fuel loading agent’s facilities, SLCA.

Schedule: This phase shall be executed during the airport’s operational hours.

Operational restrictions:

• The works planned for Collector E may be carried out within sight of traffic.

• The works to resurface the paving on Collector S will affect vehicle traffic on the service road in the hangar apron area.

PHASE 6: REMOVAL OF THE CONSTRUCTION SITE

Works to remove the construction site, compliance and clearing of the area.

Schedule: This phase shall be executed during the airport’s operational hours.
