PREFACE

The Aeronautical Information Service of the Dirección de Navegación Aérea is responsible for the publication of AIP-ESPAÑA.

The military aeronautical information is published with the authorization of Jefe del Estado Mayor del Ejército del Aire y del Espacio.

The AIP-ESPAÑA is issued in accordance with the standards and recommended practices of Annex 15 and the Aeronautical Information Services Manual (DOC 8126-AN/889) of ICAO.

Charts contained in the AIP are prepared in accordance with Annex 4 and the Aeronautical Chart Manual (DOC 8697-AN/889) of ICAO and the STANAG in force (for military charts).

Differences to ICAO Annexes and Documents are given in section GEN 1.7.

The AIP is the basic aeronautical information manual and contains information of a permanent nature as well as temporary information of long duration. It is updated by means of an amendment service and supplements.

The AIP is available in digital format, either in the form of downloads upon request or directly through consultations, on the aeronautical information service's web site (see below). Further information on these services is included in section GEN 3.1.

This publication is edited both in Spanish and English, and it is divided into three parts:

• General (GEN).

• En-Route (ENR).

• Aerodrome (AD).
