SANTIAGO/Rosalía de Castro AD (LEST).- RWY 35 approach lighting system (ALS) switched on in provisional configuration.

Until 17 April 2026 (estimated), the RWY 35 approach lighting system will be in service with a provisional configuration. This configuration may vary subject to certain criteria.

Therefore, each of the possible configurations is shown hereunder as a different phase. The start and end dates of each phase, as well as any operational incidents that may arise, will be announced via NOTAM. While this supplement is in effect, only one phase shall be active at each moment.

PHASE 1: ALS RWY 35 operational in provisional configuration.

ALS RWY 35 switched on 100% in provisional configuration due to deviations in the facility consisting of infringement of the distances from several barrettes and the total length of the current approach lighting system.

PHASE 2: ALS RWY 35 operational in provisional configuration with lights at 330, 360, 390 and 420 metres from the threshold partly out of service

ALS RWY 35 switched on, but the lights of the towers located 420 m, 390 m, 360 m and 330 m from the threshold may be partly or fully out of service.

While this phase is activated, the lights unavailable will be announced by NOTAM, using the notation indicated in the figure below.

ALS switched on in provisional configuration due to deviations in the facility consisting of infringement of the distances from several barrettes and the total length of the current approach lighting system.

PHASE 3: ALS RWY 35 operational in provisional configuration without crossbar 150 metres from the threshold

ALS RWY 35 switched on, but with the crossbar 150 m from the threshold out of service. ALS switched on in provisional configuration due to deviations in the facility consisting of infringement of the distances from several barrettes and the total length of the current approach lighting system.

PHASE 4: ALS RWY 35 operational in provisional configuration without crossbar at 150 metres from the threshold, and with lights at 330, 360, 390 and 420 metres from the threshold partly out of service.

ALS RWY 35 operational in provisional configuration with crossbar at 150 metres out of service, and the lights at 330 m, 360 m, 390 m and 420 m from the threshold may be partly or fully out of service.

While this phase is activated, the lights unavailable will be announced by NOTAM, using the notation indicated in the figure below.
