BILBAO AD (LEBB).- Works for the dismantling and demolition of the old DVOR/DME BLV.

Once the new DVOR/DME BLV has entered into service, until 02 October 2026 (estimated), actions related to the dismantling and demolition of the old DVOR/DME BLV will be carried out.

The works will be carried out in the area around the "old" DVOR/DME BLV and will be divided into two phases. The works described in each phase and zone will not necessarily be executed simultaneously, rather they will be scheduled based on their progress.

The start and end dates of each phase, as well as any operational incidents that may arise, will be announced via the corresponding NOTAM. This SUP will also be cancelled via NOTAM.

All work areas will be duly marked and lit.

Phase 1: Preliminary works without the presence of machinery.

The works in this phase may require the occasional presence of trucks at the old DVOR/DME site in order to remove material and will consist of:

- Dismantling disused DVOR DME equipment.

- Dismantling and removal of equipment and shed furnishings.

- Uninstalling the wiring.

No operational impact on procedures or on the DVOR/DME BLV in service.

Phase 2: Dismantling and demolition with machinery.

The works in this phase will involve the presence of machinery at the old DVOR/DME site and will consist of:

- Dismantling DVOR and DME broadcasting systems, monitor antennas, masts and circular antenna support structure, counterpoise and lightning rods.

- Works for fibre optic and communications reconnection.

- Removing energy equipment.

- Demolition of the current DVOR/DME equipment shed, as well as monitor antenna and counterpoise mast bases, pillar and building bases, transformer substations, etc.

No operational impact on procedures or on the DVOR/DME BLV in service.
