MADRID / Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas AD (LEMD). – Pavement and lighting works on taxiways C5, M5 and C6.
Until 22 January 2027 (estimated), pavement and lighting works will be carried out on taxiways C5, M5 and C6.
The works will be executed in three phases. Start and end dates of each phase, as well as any operational impact, will be published by NOTAM.
Working areas will be properly marked with day and night lighting, and will remain closed to aircraft traffic continuously (H24).
Standard taxi routes may be affected; aircraft shall follow SDP (Servicio de Direccion de Plataforma) instructions in the vicinity of the work areas.
Caution is advised due to the presence of personnel and equipment.
During temporary taxi deviations, aircraft shall taxi at minimum power to avoid jet blast affecting working areas.
PHASE 1 – WORKS ON TWY C5
Location: Taxiway C5
Schedule: Continuous (H24)
Operational restrictions:
• Segment of TWY C5 between TWY I7 and M5: closed.
• Taxiing not permitted from TWY I7 to C5–I6 for aircraft types A342, A343 and B743.
• Temporary bidirectional lights installed at TWY C5–I7, TWY C5–I6 and TWY I7–GATE 1 curves.
• PRKG 35 and 36: closed.
• PRKG T2: limited to code letter D aircraft (maximum).
• PRKG 30 to 34: push-back nosing to NE onto TWY I7.
• PRKG 50 to 55: push-back to TWY C4.
• PRKG T3, T4 and T5: push-back nosing to NE.
Between 2300 and 0659 LT:
• PRKG T1, T2 and T3: entry not permitted.
• PRKG T1: exit not permitted.
• PRKG T2: push-back nosing to NE and towed up to T3.
PHASE 2 – WORKS ON TWY C5–M5–C6
Location: Taxiways C5, M5 and C6
Schedule: Continuous (H24)
Operational restrictions:
• TWY M4, M5 and C6: closed.
• Segment of TWY C5 between A5 and M5: closed.
• Segment of TWY M6 in front of PRKG 41: closed.
• Bidirectional taxiing on TWY C4, I6 and I7.
• South configuration: bidirectional taxiing between TWY A4 and A7.
• Taxiing not permitted from TWY A4 to TWY A5 for aircraft types A342, A343 and B743.
• Temporary bidirectional lights installed at TWY C5–I7, C5–I6 and I7–GATE 1 curves.
• Temporary lighting installed at TWY M3–C4 curve.
• PRKG 36, 37 and 44: closed.
• PRKG 50 and 51: towing up to TWY C4 for exit.
• PRKG 40, 41, 42 and 43: towing up to TWY A6 for exit.
• PRKG 35: push-back nosing to NW and towed up to intersection with I7.
• PRKG T3, T4 and T5: push-back nosing to NE.
Between 2300 and 0659 LT:
• PRKG T1 and T2: push-back to TWY C5 nosing to NW, then towed via TWY I7 up to PRKG T3 entry marking.
• PRKG T1, T2 and T3: entry not permitted.
PHASE 3 – WORKS AT TWY A4–A5–C5 INTERSECTION
Location: Intersection TWY A4–A5–C5
Schedule: Night-time (2300–0700 LT)
Operational restrictions:
• TWY A4–A5–C5 intersection: closed.
• TWY A5: unlighted.
• Temporary bidirectional lights installed at TWY I7–GATE 1 curve.
• PRKG 156 to 162: entry and exit movements not permitted.
• North configuration: access to PRKG T1, T2 and T3 via TWY A8, AM1, M7, M6, M5, C5, with “FOLLOW-ME” vehicle guidance along TWY AM1.
• South configuration: exit from PRKG T1 and T2 push-back to TWY C5 nosing to NW up to PRKG 55, then taxi via TWY I7.
