LANZAROTE/César Manrique Lanzarote AD (GCRR).- Lighting Improvement Works.
Until 9 July 2027 (estimated), lighting improvements works will be carried out.
The works will be performed in three phases. The start and end dates of each phase, as well as any associated operational incidents that may arise, will be announced via the corresponding NOTAM.
The phases might not necessarily be executed in the order defined, and several phases might be activated simultaneously.
The works will be carried out at night time, with the runway out of service, and the areas will be completely cleared prior to the daily reopening of the airport.
All work zones will be duly marked and lit.
Caution is recommended in the areas close to the works due to the presence of workers and machinery which may, in exceptional cases, generate FOD in the manoeuvring area.
In the event of an evacuation at night, workers and machinery shall be withdrawn to a safe area.
The phases of the works and the actions to be carried out, together with their operational impact, are described below.
PHASE 1. NEW CIRCUITS FOR THE INDEPENDENT FUNCTIONING OF ANTI-INTRUSION BARS.
SUB-PHASE 1.1. E2 ANTI-INTRUSION BAR.
No operational restrictions.
SUB-PHASE 1.2. PIPE BANK FOR COMMUNICATIONS FROM TWY E2 AND FOR TOUCHDOWN ZONE LIGHTS.
No operational restrictions.
SUB-PHASE E1.3. E3 ANTI-INTRUSION BAR.
No operational restrictions.
SUB-PHASE 1.4. EM ANTI-INTRUSION BAR.
No operational restrictions.
PHASE 2. REPLACEMENT OF RUNWAY CENTRE LINE LIGHTS.
No operational restrictions.
The downgraded system will be maintained on the runway. A NOTAM informing of the downgrading will be published.
PHASE 3. INSTALLATION OF TOUCHDOWN ZONE LIGHTS ON RWY 21.
No operational restrictions.
PHASE 4. REPLACEMENT OF 9 SIGNS.
No operational restrictions.
All sign designations will be changed on the last night.
