PALMA DE MALLORCA AD (LEPA/LESJ).- Resurfacing and widening of SOUTH taxiways.

Until 03 September 2027 (estimated), works to resurface and widen the south taxiways will be underway.

The start and end dates of each phase, as well as any operational incidents that may arise, will be announced via the corresponding NOTAM.

All work zones will be duly marked and lit.

Caution is recommended due to the possible presence of personnel and machinery.

The presence of ditches outside the paved edge of the taxiway will be indicated by the publication of the corresponding NOTAMs.

Code letter F aircraft operations are restricted for the duration of the entire works.

When LVP are in place, marshalling services will be made available on request.

Work schedule : The works may be carried out at any time, subject to prior arrangement with the airport.

Operational impact : The various phases of the works will be implemented by means of ongoing closures of the affected areas, with changes to the usual routes and in compliance with signage regulations.

The works are scheduled to commence in November.

PHASE 1. WORKS CLOSURE OF RWY SOUTH

Operational restrictions:

• Closure of RWY 06R/24L.

• Closure of TWY H9, H10, S1, S2, S3, H6, H7, H8 and SOUTH between H6 and H8 and between SOUTH 7 and threshold RWY 24L.

• Closure of GATE Q.

• Marshalling of general aviation traffic will be performed via Gate P.

• PRKG 153 to 158: only Category A, B and C aircraft permitted. 

• CATII/III unavailable.

Note: Closure marker lights will be positioned on the New Jersey barriers.

PHASE 2. WORKS CLOSURE OF RWY NORTH

SUB-PHASE 2.1 TWY N2- LINK

Operational restrictions: 

• Closing of RWY 06L/24R

• Military Aircraft:

  Departures: they shall taxi from the Military Base to Gate F following the route North-N1-RWY 06L/24R-N4-E-LF-F.

  Arrivals: they shall taxi from Gate F to the Military Base following the route: F-LF-E-N4-RWY 06L/24R-N1-North. 

• Closure of TWY NORTH from NORTH 10 to NORTH 13.

• Closure of TWY LINK between TWY NORTH and F.

SUB-PHASE 2.2 TAXIWAY NORTH AND RWY NORTH

Operational restrictions: 

• Closure of RWY 06L/24R.

• Military Aircraft:

  Departures: they shall taxi from the Military Base to Gate F following the route North-N1-RWY 06L/24R-N4-E-LF-F.

  Arrivals: they shall taxi from Gate F to the Military Base following the route: F-LF-E-N4-RWY 06L/24R-N1-North.

SUB-PHASE 2.3 TWY N3

Operational restrictions:

• Closure of TWY NORTH from NORTH 10 until NORTH 11.

• Closure of TWY N3.

SUB-PHASE 2.4 TWY N4

Operational restrictions:

• Closure of TWY NORTH from NORTH 8 until NORTH 9.

• Closure of TWY N4.

SUB-PHASE 2.5 TWY N3 and N4

Operational restrictions:

• Closure of TWY NORTH from NORTH 8 until NORTH 11.

• Closure of TWY N3.

• Closure of TWY N4.

• Closure of GATE E.

PHASE 3. WORKS ON TWY LINK

SUB-PHASE 3.1 GATE F

Operational restrictions:

• Closure of GATE F.

• Closure of TWY LINK between LINK 1 and LINK 3.

• PRKG 18, 118B and 119: closed.

SUB-PHASE 3.2 GATE G

SUB-PHASE 3.2.1: GATE G-LINK

Operational restrictions:

• Closure of GATE G.

• Closure of TWY LINK between LINK 2 and LINK 5.

• TWY LJ, MAX SPAN 36 m.

• Only code-letter C aircraft permitted at PRKG 50, 52, 54, 56 and 58.

SUB-PHASE 3.2.2: GATE G- INNER

Operational restrictions:

• Closure of GATE G.

• Closure of TWY LJ between PRKG 50 and PRJG 54.

• PRKG 50, 52, 54, 123 and 123B: closed.

• Exits from PK 56 solely nosing north.

SUB-PHASE 3.3 GATE J

SUB-PHASE 3.3.1: GATE J-LINK

Operational restrictions:

• Closure of GATE J.

• Closure of TWY LINK between LINK 4 and TWY South.

• TWY LJ and TWY LK MAX SPAN 36m.

• Only code-letter C aircraft permitted at PRKG 50, 52, 54, 56 and 58.

SUB-PHASE 3.3.2: GATE J-INNER

Operational restrictions: 

• Closure of GATE J

• Closure of TWY LJ

• Closure of TWY LK

• PRKG 50, 52, 54, 56 and 58: closed.

PHASE 4. WORKS CLOSURE TWY SOUTH 7

Operational restrictions: 

• Closure of TWY SOUTH 7.

• Closure of TWY H9 and H10.

• Backtrack manoeuvre in the event of aborted take-off from RWY 06R.

PHASE 5. WORKS CLOSURE SOUTH 2-6

SUB-PHASE 5.1 LINK – SOUTH – S1

Operational restrictions:  

• Closure of TWY South between SOUTH 6 and H10.

• Closure of TWY LINK between LINK 6 and SOUTH.

• Closure of TWY S1.

• Backtrack in the event of aborted take-off.

SUB-PHASE 5.2 GATE K

SUB-PHASE 5.2.1: GATE K – SOUTH

Operational restrictions:  

• Closure of GATE K.

• Closure of TWY South between SOUTH 4 and SOUTH 6.

• TWY LK, max span 36 m.

• Taxiing restriction TWY LK. MAX SPAN 36.

• Category D and E aircraft shall operate on RWY 06L/24R.

• Only Category A, B and C aircraft may operate on RWY 06R/24L.

SUB-PHASE 5.2.2: GATE K – LM

Operational restrictions:  

• Closure of GATE K.

• Closure of TWY LK.

• Closure of TWY LM.

• PRKG 58: closed.

• Exits from PRKG 56 must compulsorily nose south when exiting via GATE J.

SUB-PHASE 5.3 GATE M

SUB-PHASE 5.3.1:  M – SOUTH

Operational restrictions:   

• Closure of GATE M.

• Closure of TWY South between SOUTH 2 and SOUTH 5.

• Closure of TWY S2.

• Closure of TWY S3.

• Category D and E aircraft:

  Will operate preferably on RWY 06L/24R.

  Arrivals on RWY 24 L must exit via S1; if this is not possible, they shall proceed to the holding positions H6–H7 or H8 and wait for marshalling assistance.

  Landings not permitted on RWY 24L when LVP are active.

• Taxiing restriction on TWY LM. MAX SPAN 36 m.

  SUB-PHASE 5.3.2: GATE M – SOUTH

 Operational restrictions:  

• Closure of GATE M.

• Closure of TWY LM.

• Closure of TWY LP.

• Closure of TWY T1 and TWY T2.

• PRKG 60 to 88: closed.

• When pushing back from PRKG 90-94, aircraft shall nose west.

SUB-PHASE 5.3.3: INNER LP

Operational restrictions:    

• Closure of TWY LP between M and PK 92

• PRKG 88, 90, 92 and 94: closed.

SUB-PHASE 5.4 GATE P 

SUB-PHASE 5.4.1: GATE P – SOUTH

Operational restrictions:  

• Closure of GATE P.

• Closure of TWY South from H8 until SOUTH 3.

• Closure of H8.

• Taxiing restriction on TWY LQ to MAX SPAN 36 m.

• Category D and E aircraft:

  Will operate preferably on RWY 06L/24R.

  Arrivals on 24 L shall exit via S1, S2 or S3. If this is not possible, they shall proceed to the holding positions H6 or H7 and wait for marshalling assistance. Landings by code-letter D and E aircraft not permitted on RWY 24L when LVP are active.

• PRKG 153 to 154 may be accessed by maximum code letter C aircraft. 

SUB-PHASE 5.4.2: GATE P – SOUTH

Operational restrictions:

• Closure of GATE P.

• Closure of TWY LP between LP-2 and Gate P.

• Closure of TWY LQ between LQ-1 and Gate P.

• PRKG 90, 92, 94, 96, 98, 150,151 and 152: closed.

• When pushing back from parking stand 88, aircraft shall nose east.

SUB-PHASE 5.5 INNER LQ

Operational restrictions:

• Closure of TWY LQ between LQ 1 and LQ2.

• PRKG 151, 152, 153, 154 y 154B: closed.
