MADRID / Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas AD (LEMD).- Resurfacing works on Taxiways M13-M14.

Until 03 September 2027 (estimated), resurfacing works shall be carried out on Taxiways M13 and M14. Once the works are completed, the horizontal and vertical markings will not be modified.

The works will be carried out in 2 phases, which may be implemented separately or simultaneously. The start and end dates, as well as any operational incidents that may arise, will be announced via the corresponding NOTAM.

Work zones will be duly marked with night and daytime lighting and closed to traffic 24H.

Standard taxiing may be affected, therefore ATC and SDP instructions must be followed in areas near the works.

Caution is recommended due to the presence of staff and machinery. Taxiing must be accomplished at minimum power on diversions to prevent the impact of jet efflux in zones where personnel are working.

PHASE 1: works at TWY M13

Schedule: Continuous (24h)

Operational restrictions:

TWY M12 and the section of TWY M13 between TWY M12 and J2 closed.
Northern branch of RET L3 closed.
Bi-directional taxiing on TWY A12, A13 and A14.
Temporary bi-directional lights will be installed at the curves on TWY G6-M11, TWY AZ2-M17 and TWY J2-A13.
Temporary uni-directional lights will be installed at the curve from TWY S2 to A14.
The existing bi-directional NO ENTRY light bar on TWY AZ2 will be temporarily switched off.
Aircraft taxiing on TWY A12 and A13 must reduce speeds to 10 kt.
Code Letter F aircraft may not taxi on TWY A12 and A13, with the exception of B747-800, which must be guided by a “FOLLOW ME” vehicle and with external engines at minimum power.
Entry to RWY 14R not permitted via TWY LA and LB for Code Letter E and Code Letter D aircraft, and B734 aircraft, due to the impact of jet efflux on the works.
Aircraft arriving on RWY 32L and heading to T4 shall exit the runway on the right.

FASE 2: trabajos en TWY M14

Horario: Continuado (24h)

Restricciones operativas:

TWY M14, H2, H3 and the section of TWY M13 between TWY J2 and H2 closed.
Bi-directional taxiing on TWY A12, A13 and A14.
Temporary bi-directional lights will be installed at the curves on TWY G6-M11, TWY AZ2-M17 and TWY J2-A13.
Temporary uni-directional lights will be installed at the curve from TWY S2 to A14.
The existing bi-directional NO ENTRY light bar on TWY AZ2 will be temporarily switched off.
From sunset to sunrise or when LVP are in place, the TWY A13-LA-A12 turn will be performed with “FOLLOW ME” vehicle guidance.
Code Letter F aircraft may not taxi on TWY A14, with the exception of B747-800, which must be guided by a “FOLLOW ME” vehicle and with external engines at minimum power.

PHASES 1 AND 2: simultaneous performance of works at TWY M13 AND TWY M14

Northern branch of Rapid Exit Taxiway L3 closed.
Bi-directional taxiing on TWY A12, A13 and A14.
Temporary bi-directional lights will be installed at the curves on TWY G6-M11, TWY AZ2-M17 and TWY J2-A13.
Temporary uni-directional lights will be installed at the curve from TWY S2 to A14.
The existing bi-directional NO ENTRY light bar on TWY AZ2 will be temporarily switched off.
