EXTENSION OF OPERATING HOURS

EXTENDED OPERATING HOURS FOR CIVIL AIRCRAFT

Any request for an extension of operating hours shall be brought to the attention of OPS CIV (CIVIL OPERATIONS), which will forward it to the Air Base’s aviation authority.

The applicant airline shall send a fax or email to OPS (+34-987 877 710 – operacioneslen@aena.es), attaching all the details of the flight operation it intends to carry out.

The application must be received no later than 20:30 local time on the day in question. Requested extensions may be granted until 22:30 local time. The head of OPS CIV shall notify the applicant company whether the application has been approved or rejected.

In the case of exceptional requests for extensions exceeding 22:30 local time, these shall be submitted via the same channel at least 7 days in advance.

EXTENDED OPERATING HOURS FOR MILITARY AIRCRAFT

Military aircraft requiring extended operating hours for operational reasons shall submit a request 24 hours in advance, sending the request for extended hours and details of the support required, Monday to Friday during office hours, to the following email address: aba@ea.mde.es or via official courier services.
