NOTAM

These are notices distributed by means of telecommunications that contain information concerning the establishment, conditions or change in any aeronautical facility, service, procedure or hazard, timely knowledge of which is essential to personnel responsible for flight operations.

NOTAM are published when it is necessary to convey information important for operations when insufficient advance notice is available to publish it as an AIP Amendment, or the information is of a temporary nature, valid for less than three months.
